About Sutzkever and Marc Chagall

Sutzkever and the great painter Marc Chagall were good friends, Chagall even illustrated Sutzkever’s poem "Siberia" written in 1938 in Vilnius, and just before it was printed, war broke out.

When the poem was printed in Israel in 1949, Sutzkever and Chagall signed together at the launch of the book in a small number of copies.
