The story of the last painting by Sultana Soroujoun as was told by Mrs. Erna Alkalai: ”We came for Sultana Soroujoun’s funeral and went to her apartment. The painting was on the easel, unsigned, the paint still fresh. My husband and I fell in love with the painting and bought it from Sultana’s sister. We hung it by 2 other paintings that we bought earlier from the painter. The impact of the painting resting on the easel at the painter’s home the day of her passing was so strong, that a few days later I bought an easel and rested the painting on it and it was displayed that way since then at our apartment in Tel Aviv”.
