Who we are?
Tiroche is the largest auction house in Israel for art and luxury items.
Our auctions receive tremendous exposure, to tens of thousands of collectors and art collectors in Israel, and around the world. In past auctions, the largest and most important collections in Israel were sold, so the mere presence in the catalog of Tiroche is a very important exposure.
How do you estimate the price of an artwork?
Pricing works at auctions is not an exact science; there are many parameters that come into play such as the identity of the artist, technique, size of the work, artist’s resume in exhibitions, and more.
In the case of artists whose works have already been sold at auction in the past, the sales record can be seen, and according to the sales history, the auction house can determine an estimated price based on supply and demand.
When it comes to a work by an artist who has not previously participated in auctions, the estimated price is determined based on a number of objective parameters and not necessarily on the basis of the artist’s past prices privately or in galleries.
In the UNFOLD project, we define a flat rate starting price for all the works sold in this chapter: $1500. In the last two years, the works in the UNFOLD chapter were sold in the range of $7,500 – $1,500.
What are the costs involved in participating in an auction?
There are no upfront costs.
When a work is sold at auction, it is customary to refer to this price as the hammer price.
The seller of the piece pays the auction house a commission of 16% + VAT of the hammer price.
An unsold work is returned to the owner without any cost or obligation three weeks after the sale.
Which piece should I put up for auction?
Unlike exhibitions or galleries, the results on the Tiroche website are maintained and exposed well into the future, so that prices can always be seen in the future.
Therefore, it is worth submitting works that you feel comfortable with, that represent you in the best way, and those that can be in demand and achieve a good result. This is exactly why you will want to display your best artwork, which will be a business card for all future collectors and searches on Google.
Yes, it is worth considering, for example, that at least buyers have room in the house for huge works measuring 2 by 2 meters, but very small works may also sell less well.
Registration conditions-
- An Open Call for artists that are active in the Israeli art field or the international art field.
- The works that will be selected for auction will be transferred to the Tiroche auction house until 1.4.24 and will remain in the possession of the auction house until the auction.
Please note: All artworks that will be displayed in Tiroche UNFOLD will be on auction at a starting price of $ 1500.
The price estimation will be determined by the auction house (by technique, style, video, NFT size, etc.).

Why should you apply?
Tiroche is the largest auction house in Israel and the largest art collectors in Israel are among our customers, alongside new collectors.
The first two auctions of contemporary art in Tiroche in 2022/23 , generated a turnover of almost two million dollars.
Out of hundreds of artists who applied for Tiroche Unfold, only 32 artists were chosen to participate and were awarded 90% sales.
Some of the artists have been invited since the auction to participate in important exhibitions, and some of them have even started exhibiting in some of the most important galleries in Israel.
The artists have received tremendous exposure from art collectors and these continue to purchase directly from the artists without the mediation of the auction house.
